Ethan Keogh wins Major Chefs Culinary Challenge

Ethan Keogh, from New College Durham, was named as the ‘Best in Class’ at the Major Chefs Culinary Challenge, which took place at the HRC Show.

A spokesperson for Major said: “And the winner is… Ethan Keogh from New College Durham. Massive congrats from everyone here at Major. And special thanks to all those taking part and the lecturers for making this competition so special and possible.”

Ethan won a Michelin-starred meal for themselves and a plus one in their local area. He was also invited to take part in a culinary flavour discovery at the home of Major in Milton Keynes for two days.

Wayne Harris, chairman of judges for the Craft Guild of Chefs, added: “This competition provides a great opportunity for chefs to showcase their skills. Guaranteed to test their culinary skills and workmanship in addition to their use of flavour and understanding of the Major products.”
