The judging panel, chaired by director of MSK Ingredients Vicky Enderson, has chosen seven teams to progress to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will take place on 11th March 2026 at the Lainston House.

The teams selected are Blackburn College, University of Derby – Buxton, Exclusive Collection Chefs & Service Academy, Kendal College, North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, The Sheffield College and Suffolk New College.

Each team impressed the judges with their technical ability, professionalism, and understanding of both kitchen and front of house excellence.

A spokesperson said: “The UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year continues to set the benchmark for future chefs and service professionals. With such a strong line up confirmed, the 2026 semi-final promises to be an exciting and closely fought contest. The competition is supported by the Savoy Educational Trust.”
