St Pierre introduces space saving brioche burger buns
The food item can be suitably served as a breakfast bun, gourmet burger or buttermilk chicken bun. Displayed in a pack of four, it offers a ‘distinctive’ shiny glaze and is topped with sesame seeds.
Due to their 45-day life, the product frees up space in the freezer and reduces wastage compared with other ambient suppliers.
Louise Reynard, foodservice commercial manager for St. Pierre Groupe, said: “An astonishing 96% of people buy bread products monthly according to Mintel1 and it may not be a surprise that the second most popular type of product behind sliced bread is buns, baps and rolls.
“When you also consider research from Food Spark which shows that people are willing to pay £1.25 extra for the right gourmet burger carrier, it’s easy to build a case for stocking premium burger buns - especially with the continued boom in street food concepts.
“St. Pierre’s new ambient seeded brioche burger buns offer the perfect solution for any time-pressured and space-pressured kitchen. Whilst some bread trends come and go, others have stood the test of time. Brioche is now a mainstay for venues looking to add value, delivering a premium option which can be easily marketed on the menu to enhance margins.”
