New Suffolk College wins Wellocks Award

A team from Suffolk New College won the Wellocks Best Dish Award at the national final of UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year.

Their dish of British sirloin of beef with artichokes, carrots and croquette potatoes with truffles impressed the judges.

The award was presented by Leigh Myers, chef director at Wellocks. Also pictured is Vicky Enderson, chair of judges and director at MSK Ingredients. 

In addition to the trophy, students Davide Oggero, Ella Amos and Phoebe Chew won a dining experience at Tim Allen’s sō-lō, a Michelin-starred restaurant. For further details on the competition visit: www.restaurantcompetition.co.uk.
