Running from today (1 December) and open to kitchens across foodservice, entrants simply enter on the dedicated website to be in with the chance of being one of the 12 daily winners.

For every entry Essential Cuisine will donate 50p to industry charity Hospitality Action, which aims to help those who have worked or currently work in the industry who find themselves in a crisis.

Jonathan Harvey-Barnes, senior business development chef for Essential Cuisine, said: "Christmas is such a hectic time of year for chefs and working kitchens so we wanted to bring the festivities forward, giving them the opportunity to scoop some truly amazing prizes in time for the big day.

"At this time of year, especially, our thoughts go out to those less fortunate. I urge people to take to social media this Christmas, in support of this fantastic cause and to be in the chance of winning an early present."
