The Worshipful Company of Cooks
The Worshipful Company of Cooks is one of the oldest Livery Companies in the City of London. Incorporated by Royal Charter in 1482, its origins can be traced back to around 1170 with the joining of two medieval guilds of cooks to regulate the profession within the City. Today it’s an active and vibrant organisation that champions excellence in the craft of cooking and offers support and assistance in education and training, particularly for young people. Our members give freely of their time and experience to ensure the Company remains active in the catering industry and a force for good for society in general.
