HK Projects Sustainability Award goes to Eastleigh College team
The accolade was presented by Charlie Jones, during a ceremony that celebrated student-led innovation in eco-conscious culinary practices.
The award recognises Eastleigh’s team for implementing sustainable sourcing policies dramatically reducing food waste. Judges praised the college’s holistic approach—from partnering with local producers to utilising seasonal ingredients.
David McKown, director of the competition, commented: “Eastleigh’s success signals a growing emphasis on environmentally responsible practices in hospitality education, setting new standards for aspiring restaurateurs. With sustainability at its core, Eastleigh College not only walked away with the trophy but also positioned itself as a forward-thinking leader at the cutting edge of culinary innovation.”
