Young Restaurant Team of the Year winners enjoy study tour

The Team from Loughborough College who won UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year 2022 have recently returned from a Gastronomic Study Tour in Lyon, France.

The team spent a day at the ‘Institut Paul Bocuse’ and had the opportunity to observe culinary classes before a lunch in their own Michelin Starred Restaurant.

David McKown, director of the competition, said: “The tour was packed with great learning  and everyone had a fantastic experience.”

In addition to exploring the culinary sights of the city the team spent a day in the countryside visiting two vineyards with ‘Inter Beaujolais’, the visits included an overview of the wine making process with tastings. On the final night the team had a behind the scenes tour of the legendary Paul Bocuse Restaurant with Dinner. 

Vicky Enderson, director of MSK Ingredients and headline sponsor of the competition, commented: “It was a pleasure to spend a few days on tour with the winners and we are sure this experience will remain with them for a lifetime.”
