Rick Owens, winner of the Young Chef award at the annual Craft Guild of Chef Awards, has been presented with a personalised jacket from Craft Guild business partner De Manincor.

Michael Bradley, UK brand manager of De Manincor, joined Owens for the formal presentation of the jacket at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.

Owens trained at Westminster Kingsway College and is now commis chef at Raymond Blanc’s ‘world-renowned’ restaurant and hotel. Gary Jones executive chef at Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons was also present when Owens received his jacket.

Owens said: “It feels good. I’m really proud of myself. The Craft Guild of Chefs are very supportive. They have helped me a lot with competitions and college. They have really helped me progress in my career. I’m really thankful for them.”

De Manincor has been a Craft Guild of Chefs business partner for over three years offering cooking ranges and refrigeration.

Bradley added: “De Manincor is very honoured to sponsor the Young Chef award, helping to support a new generation of very talented chefs, that one day may become our clients.

“We are pleased to be able to present Rick with his personalised jacket to further commemorate his win. We wish him all the luck for the future and are sure he’ll go on to be successful.”
