Craft Guild of Chefs launches content creator opportunity
The initiative will recruit six chefs from across the UK to form a new network of content creators, who will be tasked with producing original, behind-the-scenes content showcasing life in hospitality.
Mark Reynolds, chairman of The Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “During my time as chair I’ve proactively worked to draw in new audiences and provide more opportunities for chefs to shine. As an organisation we are keen to welcome new ambassadors on the Guild’s social channels and celebrate great work beyond our own events.
“Content creation is now a vital skill in hospitality as it’s known for helping drive interest in food and bringing consumers into venues. I’m looking forward to seeing who takes on these new roles within the Guild and I believe this is an exciting step forward in our mission to modernise and future-proof the association.”
The six chefs chosen to take part will be set themed briefs covering restaurant openings, chef interviews, on-trend dishes, and provided with media passes to major Craft Guild of Chefs events such as its prestigious Awards and National Chef of the Year (NCOTY).
Rather than polished influencers, The Craft Guild of Chefs is looking for working chefs with a story to tell, those who are as comfortable behind a camera as they are on the pass.
Recognising that content creation may be new to many applicants, professional support will be provided including an introductory online session covering editorial standards, platform guidance, music licensing and best practice, along with monthly content briefs and editing support where needed.
The programme has been designed as a development opportunity to help chefs build confidence in storytelling, digital content and personal branding, with the chefs having their content shared to 16,000+ followers on The Craft Guild of Chefs’ Instagram channel.
It’s free to apply, over 18’s only, full terms and conditions on the website. Applications close on Wednesday 3rd June 2026. Successful applicants will be informed on Wednesday 10th June 2026, with the first content briefing taking place on Monday 22nd June 2026.
