Workshops offer to help catering staff prepare for jobs market

Written by: David Foad
Hospitality and catering industry staff who have been made redundant or are on long-term furlough can sign up for a limited number of free workshops on maintaining their ‘mojo’ and remaining resilient and optimistic.

Adaptis Limited, a learning and development consultancy based in London, is offering the workshops on August 5th or 20th for free to the first 40 people who sign up.

Dan Kennedy, Lead Consultant at Adaptis, which offers bespoke services to help organisations get the best out of their people, said: “The dictionary definition of mojo is a quality that attracts people to you and makes you successful and full of energy.

“The outbreak of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown bought with it many challenges. As a result, many of us are working hard to maintain positivity. Perhaps particularly for those who have been made redundant or are on long-term furlough.

“Learning how to stay resilient and optimistic during this time is key to finding a new role or continuing to thrive in your current role.

“The workshops will cover how to use emotional intelligence to manage yourself effectively, the value of optimistic perspective and how it can be learnt and will include strategies to develop your own resilience.”

The workshops will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, August 5 from 9.30am until 11am and Thursday, August 20 from 2pm until 3.30pm.

Dan added: “The workshops are ideal for anyone who feels as though they would like some tips and techniques for maintaining their mojo and recognising what a valuable asset in life that is. To help give people a little lift, we’re offering the workshops for free for the first 40 people who sign up to one of the dates.”
