Past and present students at Westminster Kingsway College were on hand to unveil a plaque with Andy Wilson, CEO of Central London Colleges Group (CLCG), at the official opening of the redesigned Victoria Centre on Monday.

Andy Wilson, said: “We have been planning the redevelopment of our Victoria Centre for over 10 years.

"We knew we had a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a landmark facility for Hospitality, Business and Enterprise in the very heart of London.

"We wanted a building where those who already work in these sectors and those who aspire to do so would feel equally at home.”

The college also used the occasion to celebrate its Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, which was awarded for its existing successes in serving employers in the Hospitality sector.

Guests were treated to a tour of the college, which featured the dining rooms and various kitchens where students specialise in different areas, such as pastry. The science kitchen and chocolate classroom was in action for guests to witness before stepping into the new Victoria Centre for speeches and the unveiling of the plaque.
