The new categories include University Bar Award, University Hotel, Campus Hospitality, On Trend Menu, Plant-Based Menu and Social Dining Menu.

Paul Martin, director of Inside Foodservice, commented: “The new categories build on the success of the U Dine Awards last year and we will celebrate the shortlist and winners at Nottingham Venues on 20th June.”

A new addition to the judging process is the engagement of HGEM (Hospitality Guest Experience Management) who will organise a series of mystery shopping visits to the shortlisted universities. 

David McKown, director of University Hospitality Seminars and a member of the organising team, commented: “Customer feedback for the shortlist is a new feature of U Dine Awards and this feedback will be anonymised and shared at the U Dine Conference that precedes the Awards Dinner.”
