Team GB has ‘high expectations’ for 2024 Culinary Olympics
When speaking at the Craft Guild of Chefs Business Partners Lunch, Joyner said: “We now are working hard towards the next big competition, the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart. The oldest, largest and most diverse cooking competition in the world, which has taken place every four years since 1900 It’s absolutely massive, with over 2,000 chefs competing over five days.
“We will be taking a team of ten chefs to Germany - It’s all about creating incredible culinary art with precision and perfection and increasingly important sustainability. We have high expectations for Stuttgart and whatever happens I feel confident that we will have a good result due to their hard work, meticulous planning and the pure talent we have within the team.”
The last IKA Culinary Olympics in 2020 saw around 1,800 participants from 67 nations produce a series of menus, with Norway taking home the gold medal for National Culinary Teams.
