A Taste of the Caribbean at Skills for Chefs

Written by: Edward Waddell
Jason Howard, who is Barbadian born and Vincentian by descent, is bringing his modern Caribbean cuisine to the Skills for Chefs Conference this year on 29 & 30 June.

He has mastered the art of infusing flavours from his home cuisines with international cooking techniques, presenting Caribbean dishes at the finest level. Howard’s techniques create a ‘beautiful and remarkable memory’ to the eye and palate and he will share his skills with delegates at the conference.

David McKown, director of the Skills for Chefs Conference, commented: “This is the first time that we have showcased Caribbean cuisine at the conference and Jason will be hosting the Koppert Cress Masterclass kitchen.”

Delegates can expect imaginative creations like his mango-glazed scallops and his scotch bonnet-roasted rack of lamb as he aims to inspire chefs to keep pushing the boundaries.
