Survey reveals 75% of hospitality workers say Government has hurt industry
More than three-quarters of respondents working in the hospitality industry say the new Labour Government has had a negative impact on their sector, according to a new online poll conducted on H2 Catering Equipment’s website.
The survey asked people to select their industry and answer the question: ‘Has the Labour Government had a positive or negative impact on your industry?’.
Of the 1,447 total responses collected, the hospitality sector showed the strongest dissatisfaction, with 75.5% stating Labour’s impact has been negative. Breakdown of results by industry:
- Hospitality: 75.5% negative
- Catering: 67.3% negative
- Retail: 58.1% negative
- Public Sector: 52.8% negative
Dale Howard, director at H2 Catering, said: “These results reflect a deep sense of concern within the hospitality sector. As one of the UK’s most important service industries in the UK, hospitality is often the first to feel the ripple effects of policy changes.”
