The Sheffield College wins Wellocks Award

The Sheffield College won the Wellocks Award for ‘Best Use of the Finest Ingredients’ at the UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year Grand Final.

Vicky Enderson, chair of Judges commented: “The team cooked and served the best celeriac starter and also made great use of the Koffmann potatoes provided by Wellocks.”

Competition judge Leigh Myers from Wellocks presented the trophy and surprised the winners with a prize to visit Northcote to enjoy the cuisine of executive chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen. The Sheffield Team was mentored by Len Unwin who will join the students when they visit Northcote later this year.
