The Sheffield College goes on gastronomic experience for winning competition
Their journey started with dinner at the Ritz in London and this included an audience with executive chef John Williams MBE. The team then embarked on the Eurostar for a private behind the scenes tour of the Ritz Paris, followed by dinner at a traditional French brasserie.
The following day started with a 3.30am trip to Rungis Market and concluded with an ‘amazing’ two michelin star dinner at Le Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower. The prize was provided by MSK Ingredients and the competition is also supported by the Savoy Educational Trust.
Len Unwin, mentor of the team, commented: "I'm very proud of our students Ben, Skie and Tanayah, it was a life changing experience.”
The 2025 competition is now open for entries and all the details are at: www.restaurantcompetition.co.uk.
