Written by: Admin
The new series of Channel 4's 'The F Word' is searching the length and breadth of the country for the best local restaurant set to be crowned when the programme returns to our screens later this year.
Ramsay, who is back with the fifth series of The F Word, is calling on consumers to log on to the Channel 4 website and vote for their favourite local restaurant. There is a criteria for eligible restaurants: • It must be able to provide two courses for two people all for under £50 (exc. wine) • The restaurant must be independent – no chains allowed. • The restaurant must have at least 10 seats, ruling out all takeaways. There are eight categories of restaurants, seven focused on specific cuisines and one open category which is there to make sure that no restaurant that falls outside the main seven is excluded from taking part. The seven culinary categories are: British, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Indian and Thai. Once consumers have nominated they will then be able to apply for a seat in The F Word kitchen. The best restaurants in each category will be featured on-screen in the next series of Gordon Ramsay's F Word. Closing date is midnight on the 17th July 2009 and to nominate your favourite restaurant you should visit: www.channel4.com/food/f-word/nominate
