‘A Passion to Inspire’ supports student chefs

Written by: Edward Waddell
‘A Passion to inspire’, through the support of First Contact Chefs, is aiming to inspire young people who are seeking a career path within the hospitality industry.

The employment scheme is for student chefs that left college in 2020 who are trained to at least level three.

Clients will pass the job description and their Covid 19 code of conduct to ‘A Passion to Inspire’ who will not publish the position on any social media, job board or website.

‘A Passion to Inspire’ will contact the 164 colleges they are connected to and then lecturers will be asked to internally advertise these positions. Colleges will receive a confidential list of positions for both kitchen and front of house.

Once the client receives the application details it will be their responsibility to contact the applicant and arrange an interview or trial shift.

There is no cost to the applicant (besides travel to the interview/trial) and no cost to the client throughout the process as long as the applicants start date is before 12 October 2020.

Chefs, restaurants or hotels can get involved and support these young people with vacancies in both front of house and kitchen roles. If you are interested in getting involved then contact: [email protected]
