Over three quarters of Brits too busy to eat

More than three quarters of people no longer eat three main meals a day, according to new research.
According to a survey of 2,000 Brits, it is the busy legal profession that are most likely to live on unhealthy snacks such as crisps and chocolate bars. Almost 80% of lawyers admitted that they have gone a whole day without eating a single meal, living off bars of chocolates and biscuits instead, and nearly a quarter of lawyers questioned admitted that they eat sweets instead of a proper breakfast. Nutritionist Fiona Hunter explained: "Sugary and high fat snacks are meant to be treats, to be enjoyed alongside healthy, balanced meals but it seems many busy Brits are choosing these foods because they haven't got time to cook a proper meal. "Most nutritionists agree that the best way to balance blood sugar levels is to eat three small meals plus a couple of healthy snacks such as fruit, yogurt, meat or cheese in between."
