Norwich chefs take part in job swap

Written by: Admin
Chefs from restaurants in Norwich are preparing to hang up their aprons next month in a role reversal challenge.
The Hunny Bell, The Wildebeest Arms, The Mad Moose and 1UP Restaurant and Mackintosh's Canteen, all part of the Animal Inns Group, are preparing for the one-off culinary experiment, as part of the Bidwells Norwich and Norfolk Food Festival 2008. Staff at the restaurants will be stepping up to the hot-plate to hone their cookery skills, meanwhile chefs will step out of the kitchen to greet and brush up on their customer service skills. All of the proceeds from the Front to Back event will go to the charity of choice for each eatery. Kelly Elphick, assistant manager at Mackintosh's Canteen, commented on the event: "Not only are we raising money for a brilliant charity, we are getting to work closer as a team and appreciate each other's roles, whilst producing a fantastic menu." Now in its fourth year, the Bidwells Norwich & Norfolk Food Festival will take place between 8 and 14 October. Those wishing to buy tickets for the challenge should contact their favourite Animal Inns venue direct.
