NECTA Salon Culinaire 2010

Written by: Admin
More than 300 chefs have signed up to compete at this year's North Eastern Culinary Trade Association (NECTA) Salon Culinaire.
The event, which runs from April 27-28 at Newcastle Racecourse at High Gosforth Park, promises to be an exciting line up of live cookery competitions and display competitions, with one lucky young chef in with a chance of work experience in Dubai. Andy Cuthbert, chairman of the Emirates Culinary Guild in Dubai and general manager of a new hospitality operation Jumeirah Bab al Shams hotel in Dubai, will be taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Newcastle to assist in judging the chefs, one of which will follow him back to Dubai to experience working in some of the best hotels, thanks to competition sponsor Churchill China. The grand finale will be a special awards dinner at the racecourse on April 28 produced by students from Durham, Gateshead and Derwentside College. • For further information, call John Retallick on 07785 716164 or email [email protected] or call Douglas Jordan of Jordans Restaurant in Ryton, Tyne and Wear, on 07538 405492
