Marcus Wareing announces The Gilbert Scott new opening date

Celebrity chef Marcus Wareing has announced that his new restaurant, The Gilbert Scott will open its doors on 5th May 2011.
The restaurant's eagerly-awaited opening was previously delayed due to construction issues. Bookings will be taken from the 14th April 2011. The Gilbert Scott is situated at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London and will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Dishes will include Dorset jugged steak (braised featherblade with port, pork dumplings and redcurrant), tweed kettle (sea trout with a lemon, nutmeg and herb crust) and Manchester tart (custard, bananas, puff pastry and a jam). Meanwhile the bar will offer an all day dining menu of British bites including pork and sage stuffing balls and Lancashire mushroom rolls. Design features will include hand painted ceilings, marble and gold leaf detail.
