Double AA Rosette winning chef Andrew Green is to join Manchester’s brand new ‘premium’ restaurant, Mamucium, as executive chef when it opens this autumn.

Green - former executive chef at The Lowry Hotel (Manchester) – will offer menus featuring “classic, locally-sourced food topped off with a Northern spin” in both the restaurant and café.

With a string of awards and shortlisted for Catey’s 2017 Hotel Chef of the Year Award, he said: “I’m really excited about the opening of Mamucium and the new opportunities it will bring.

“I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to adding another exciting and premium dining destination to the Manchester scene.”

James Houlston, managing director of BH Group (the developer behind Mamucium) commented: “We are so pleased to welcome Andrew to our team.

“His food is second to none and his passion and authenticity for local and seasonally sourced food complements our vision of Mamucium perfectly.

“He was undoubtedly the ideal chef for this venture and we cannot wait to introduce his creations to diners in the city.”
