Written by: Edward Waddell
Le Cordon Bleu London has announced the 12 finalists who have made it to the last round of the Wine Scholarship, which is taking place on 29th July at the institute in Holborn, London.

The 12 finalists are competing for a chance to win a place on the renowned Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management, a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ for the most ardent wine enthusiast.

Finalists will complete an interview with Le Cordon Bleu London's wine development manager and master sommelier Matthieu Longuere and fellow industry experts alongside a written challenge designed to gauge their passion for the topic.

The six-month diploma provides an in-depth knowledge of wine, its integration with gastronomy and their management within a commercial environment. The programme is led by Matthieu and features guest lectures from leading names in the wine and hospitality industry.

Following completion of the diploma, the scholarship winner will go on to take part in an exclusively curated internship programme. The three-month internship features placements at HIDE and Hedonism Wines, giving the winner experience working in both restaurant and retail wine, and the opportunity to apply their newly gained knowledge in a real-world setting.

The winner will also receive a wealth of wine-based prizes from the scholarship partners. Guests at the event will have the opportunity to discover some of the wonderful products from the partners, as they enjoy drinks and canapes at a reception hosted by Le Cordon Bleu.
