Kelsius launches digital temperature checking system

Written by: Edward Waddell
Craft Guild of Chefs business partner Kelsius is making it easier and more cost-effective for caterers to manage paperless kitchen compliance with the new FoodCheck2Go digital temperature checking system.

Combining a digital temperature probe with a Samsung 8” tablet, FoodCheck2Go enables operators to check and record fridge temperatures, cook & cool temperatures and manage deliveries.

It ensures HACCP is being implemented and helps kitchen staff to manage all aspects of Food Hygiene Regulations, simplifying the audit process and reducing the time spent on repetitive paperwork. All current and historical records are stored safely in the cloud and available to view from any web-enabled device.

Mario Kelly, commercial director of Kelsius, said: “Managing HACCP and Food Hygiene Regulations is essential in any kitchen but it’s a time-consuming process. With paper-based reporting it relies on one individual to accurately read and report temperatures, taking time out of their day - even before you consider the physical and environmental cost of printing, distributing and then storing paperwork.

“Digital temperature monitoring systems like Kelsius FoodCheck 2.0 remove this burden and cost, but we recognise that smaller businesses might not be able to afford fixed sensors in fridges. Instead, we’ve developed a streamlined system that supports compliance, delivers easier monitoring and provides automate reminders if essential tasks are not completed – all for an affordable fee.

“FoodCheck2Go provides the tools needed to manage compliance more safely, accurately and efficiently than paper-based systems. It eliminates the risk of fines, potential closure and loss of reputation when used properly - all for as little as £265 up front and a £25 monthly payment.”
