Jamie Oliver targeted for second time in a week
Animal rights group PETA has staged a protest outside Jamie Oliver's Brighton restaurant, one week after protesters demonstrated against his promotion of British pork at the TV chef's London eatery.
Protestors demonstrated with tongue-in-cheek placards that read; 'Be pukka to pigs: Go vegetarian'. The campaigners added that if Oliver, who has championed the welfare of British pigs, loved pigs so much then he should start encouraging the British public to go vegetarian. But a spokesperson for the celebrity chef reiterated that all meat including pork would be remaining on his restaurant's menus. The spokesperson added: "The meat Jamie is serving up is very high quality. They should go make a protest somewhere that imports its meat."
