The Grand Finals of the catering college competition Nestlé Toque d'Or kicked off to a flying start at the BBC Good Food Show Summer last week, with top chefs and celebrities spotted at the event.
Former Toque d'Or competitor James Martin attended the event where he went behind the scenes to visit the South Kent College's kitchen. Celebrities to attend the event included Georgia Slowe, better known as Perdy from Emmerdale, where she sampled some of the cuisine that the students had to offer in the Nestlé Toque d'Or Restaurant. Meanwhile celebrity chef Simon Rimmer was also spotted at the festival watching the pupils prepare their starters on day two of the competition. An awards ceremony will take place at London's Dorchester Hotel on 18 July to announce the winners of Nestlé Toque d'Or 2008. The BBC Good Food Show Summer took place from 11-15 June.
