Gold Service Scholarship 2026 opens for applications
The Gold Service Scholarship is designed to ‘inspire, educate and nurture’ young talent in hospitality by offering networking opportunities with like-minded peers, professional development through training, workshops, stages and travel.
From 1st September, ambitious professionals have the chance to hone their craft through mentoring and placement opportunities provided by top professionals and businesses.
Winning finalists will benefit from educational trips to the EHL Hospitality Business School in Switzerland where they will undertake a bespoke five-day course, as well as Porto, and automatic membership to the competition’s Team Gold alumni network to take advantage of various educational opportunities throughout the course of the year.
The scholar will receive a bespoke programme of learning opportunities, which will include the chance to stage at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and Hong Kong, the three-Michelin-starred Waterside Inn in Bray and the chance to work a state visit at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.
Former entrants who have made it to various stages of the competition find the knowledge and skills they develop during the process extremely beneficial to their careers, as well as the contacts they make along the way.
The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd October 2025 and to be eligible, entrants must be aged between 22 and 30 on this date. Candidates can enter via this link https://thegoldservicescholarship.co.uk/apply/.
Edward Griffiths, trustee and chair of judges, said: “This scholarship is more than a competition – it is an investment in the future leaders of our industry, providing them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to thrive in their careers.
“We know that the hospitality sector is built on people, passion, and professionalism, and the Gold Service Scholarship continues to play a vital role in nurturing that next generation. I encourage anyone with the drive to learn, grow, and represent the very best of service to step forward and apply.”
