Written by: Admin
Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, visited the award-winning frozen meals supplier apetito at its headquarters in Wiltshire yesterday to celebrate the company's role in providing quality frozen meals and services to the elderly and vulnerable.
As part of the tour, Her Royal Highness was shown around the product development centre. She was shown the processes involved in developing healthy and nutritious meals for hospital patients, care homes as well as those receiving community meals at home. During her visit The Duchess of Cornwall commended apetito's award-winning and range of texture-modified meals for those with dysphagia (eating and swallowing problems) for its insight and value to patients. Paul Freeston, apetito's chief executive, commented: "It's been an honour to receive The Duchess of Cornwall and demonstrate to her exactly what goes on behind the scenes of one the country's leading food manufacturers. "The visit gave us the perfect opportunity to not only showcase our commitment and investment into products, services, innovation and sustainability, but also highlight the important role that good nutritional meals play in feeding the elderly, sick and vulnerable amidst a growing problem of malnutrition in the elderly." Her Royal Highness concluded her visit by unveiling a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
