Craft Guild of Chefs Summit to explore future qualification landscape
The session will be presented by Jason Benn, industry manager of hospitality & catering, travel & tourism at City and Guilds. Jason started a career in hotel management in 1990 working for companies including Swallow, Marriott and Le Meridien Hotels.
In 2002, Jason started teaching and leading curriculum in both further education colleges and a high school. In 2016 he joined City & Guilds as the industry manager responsible for the portfolio of qualifications in hospitality & catering and travel and tourism.
Jason was also at the forefront in launching the Hospitality connect initiative in Manchester where hotels, schools, colleges and careers hub teams work in partnership to promote the sector within schools. The initiative has now been used in many cities across the UK.
David McKown, chair of the Education and Training Committee at the Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “The summit will be a great opportunity for delegates to learn and network, we only have a small number of places still available so we would encourage everyone to book now.”
