Companies support ‘revamped’ 2023 Taste of Kent Awards
Open to any food and drink business located in Kent and Medway, the awards have been running for nearly twenty years –making them the longest running, and ‘most prestigious’ food and drink awards in the South East.
Nine companies have already joined the Awards including Southeastern, Shepherd Neame, NFU Mutual Ashford, Tenterden & Whitfield, University of Kent, Crowe UK, East Kent College, Emergo, Oxbury and Southern Co-op with many having supported the awards for several year.
This year, the awards are taking on a slightly new format. All awards categories are self-nominated (entries open on 1 February 2023), the number of food product categories have been extended, a buyer’s guide is replacing the TOKA magazine and the awards ceremony on the 15th of June is preceded by a TOKA food and drink Fair, showcasing products of over 70 finalists.
Floortje Hoette, from Produced in Kent who run the awards, said: “The awards are a fantastic platform to showcase the tastiest food and drink we produce here in Kent, and the hardworking businesses behind it.
“Sponsoring the awards is a great opportunity for companies to get involved with the local food and drink community, whilst associating with the very finest produce, and showing support for a sector that contributes so much to our local economy, employment, the countryside and a greener future. I thank all of them for their continuing support.”
