City College apprentices come to Momma Cherri's

Written by: Admin
First, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares came to Momma Cherri's and now it's the turn of apprentices from City College Brighton and Hove.
The College has just signed a deal with the restaurant which sees local apprentices start work at the restaurant straight away. Each of them will be training in every aspect of food preparation and serving, from cleaning the kitchens to creating some of the American soul food that Momma Cherri's is famous for. The apprentices will also be entering Momma Cherri's Cook-Off, which will see them pitch their cooking skills against each other. They will each get the chance to cook outside for passing shoppers who will be asked to sample the food to see whose is best. Momma Cherri says: "I've worked with City College in the last five years and I really like the support that you get from them. I believe it's important to put back what I've learned into the community and the best way to do that is to go straight to the source and City College is the best source when it comes to talented young people."
