Chef at top London hotel introduces 'skinny burger' for London Fashion Week

Written by: Admin
Chef Paul Bates at the InterContinental London Park Lane hotel is introducing a 'skinny' burger to coincide with London Fashion Week which kicks off today (17th September).
The new slimline buffalo steak burger has just 143 calories and 2.4 grams of fat, compared to 9.2 grams in a normal burger. The skinny burger is also lower in cholesterol. The dish is made from hand-minced buffalo steak, mixed with onions, spices and herbs. The burger is dry grilled and topped with a baby gem lettuce leaf, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. It is decorated with sugar free salsa, raw baby shallots, and coriander cress and served in the centre of a glass plate. It is available at the InterContinental London Park Lane for one week only, between 17 September and 22 September. The skinny burger comes with a glass of wild berry iced tea and is priced at £20. Bates commented: "This is no oxymoron, I took time to develop something that really works; the skinny burger is perfect for fashionistas who want a tasty treat without the calorie guilt."
