Chef Stuart Gillies creates ‘health & beauty enhancing’ menu

Chef Stuart Gillies will launch ‘Beauty and the Feast’ this January at Bank House in Chislehurst and Number Eight in Sevenoaks for a ‘delicious way to look and feel better after Christmas overindulgence’.

Husband and wife team, Stuart and Cecilia Gillies, have used their 40 years’ experience to create an eight course, ‘beauty-enhancing’ menu, which will run at the two dining destinations throughout January.

Stuart was chief executive of The Gordon Ramsay Group for seven years and before that, earned international acclaim as chef at Michelin-starred restaurants including Daniel in New York, Hotel Lord Byron in Rome and The Connaught alongside Angela Hartnett. Using their culinary experience, knowledge and artisan suppliers, Stuart and Cecilia have created a ‘delicious, decadent and body-kind dining experience’. It features collagen-laced drinks and inventive dishes which boost both immune system and metabolism and are rich in nutrients, vitamins, anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants and blood purifiers.

Dishes include protein and vitamin-rich buckwheat blinis with oscietra caviar and sour cream, and the antiviral, antiseptic and antioxidant garlic roast chicken with baby spinach, pumpkin, shiitake, lentils and Japanese artichokes.

The Cornish mackerel fillet with soft boiled quail egg, watercress, green beans and sesame salad is loaded with vitamins A,B, C, plus zinc and selenium. While the roasted ramero pepper, avocado and vine tomato salad with feta, black olives and pumpkin seed oil is rich in antioxidants, bioflavonoid, lycopene and omega 6 essential fatty acids.

Guests will have the option of a £65 meat or vegan menu accompanied by alcohol-free drinks, featuring tipples like Kombucha and Green Tea or carefully selected wines. Each diner will receive a complimentary Beauty Box of skin, hair or cosmetics products.
