Chef Richard Corrigan hits back at “whispering campaign”
Celebrated chef, Richard Corrigan has put an end to what he calls, a “whispering campaign” by fellow restaurateurs, telling an Irish newspaper that business is booming and that he's “not going anywhere”.
He told the Irish Independent: "Normally I don't do begrudgery and there was a lot of it when I first arrived in Dublin. But recently I've had to phone up a few of my colleagues and say 'listen guys, behave yourselves' and ask them to stop perpetuating these rumours. "There is no question that I'm going anywhere. Bentley's is a huge success and we have the official accounts to prove that. Just yesterday, we had 70 lunches booked in and 110 covers last night. We are probably one of the few restaurants in central Dublin that has made a profit."
