Celebrate Waitangi Day with New Zealand Te Mana Lamb

Written by: Katie Imms
Operators are being encouraged to tap into Waitangi Day celebrations today (6 February) - the national day of New Zealand – with Te Mana Lamb.

Commemorating the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi (6 February 1840), New Zealand farming cooperative Alliance is calling on chefs and foodservice operators to put its Te Mana Lamb on the menu.

Perfect for making popular New Zealand dishes such as traditional roast lamb, Alliance marketing manager Claire Bedouin said: “As New Zealand’s only 100% farmer owned cooperative, the heritage of Te Mana Lamb is significantly important.

“It has emerged from an unprecedented 10-year programme with lamb specifically bred in the New Zealand high country.

“Delicate and flavoursome, its unique properties offer up a versatile product that delivers both on flavour and impact. The perfect ingredient for a delicious dish to commemorate Waitangi Day.”
