Canterbury University achieves Hospitality Assured

Written by: Admin
Canterbury Christ Church has achieved a Hospitality Assured accreditation for delivering service and business excellence in the hospitality industry.
The University received recognition for its campus catering services team, conference services team and the Student Building. The assessors judged the University on aspects including its approach to customer service, customer research, the customer promise, business planning, and standards of performance. Other organisations to have achieved this accreditation include The Ritz, London, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospital Trust in London; and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Philip Stanley, MIH, general manager of Hospitality Assured, commented on the award: "The Hospitality Assured accreditation promotes and rewards the highest standards of excellence and is the only standard that focuses on the customer experience, measuring an organisation's ongoing determination and commitment to producing the highest levels of service and business performance." Other universities that have achieved the Hospitality Assures Standard include University of Brighton, Royal Holloway College, University College London, and University of Leeds. The Hospitality Assured accreditation was undertaken by a team of independent UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Services) assessors from MQA Ltd, on behalf of the Institute of Hospitality.
