The Awana restaurant to host Curry and Spice Festival

Written by: Admin
The Awana restaurant in London is hosting a two-week Curry and Spice Festival from Monday 7th March – Sunday 20th March 2011 to celebrate Malaysian cuisine.
The restaurant's head chef Virasamy Poliah has devised a feast filled with "fiery exotic dishes". Spicy dishes on offer will include the Kari Daging, a spicy veal yellow curry with potatoes, carrots and bird eye chilli along with Kapitan Asam Pedas, a guinea fowl sour and spicy curry with nonya herbs, pineapple, tomato and aubergine. And for those who enjoy their curries a little on the mild-side can try Kari Sotong, a medium spicy squid curry with dry chilli. Also available is Kari Ikan, a Malaysian-muslim style monkfish curry and Kari Lemak Kubis, a vegetarian curry option of seasonal vegetables, cabbage and glass noodles.
