New additions for the Winnie Myers Afternoon Tea competition

There is still time to enter the Winnie Myers Afternoon Tea competition organised by the Craft Guild of Chefs' London Division.

The closing date for entries has been extended until April 12 to allow for latecomers to enter following the Wessex Salon Culinaire taking place from April 3-4, and to announce an extra category in honour of fellow chef Artur Voggenberger, who died in December.The competition has become a tribute to Winnie Myers, who died in January, and will now also pay tribute to Artur, both specialists in patisserie and very active London Division members.The competition for students and working chefs is aimed at finding the best teatime spread, and will be held at Westminster Kingsway College on Saturday, May 19, and will include the Artur Voggenberger Open Cake competition.The latter is open to amateur bakers of any age, who will need to submit one large cake or six mini cakes with recipes.
