Applications for the 2024 series are now open. Criteria for entry:

• Entrants must be 20-year-old or above (as of 25th April 2024)
• Chefs must have a legal right to work in the UK
• Entrants must have worked for at least two years as a chef in a professional kitchen or have NVQ Level 3 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent
• Chefs must be available for filming primarily in London for up to 25 days between April and July 2024

In series two of MasterChef: The Professionals the competition was won by Steve Groves, who would later go on to be crowned Craft Guild of Chefs National Chef of the Year. The 2023 winner was Tom Hamblet.
