Written by: Edward Waddell
Umbrella Training has appointed Sarah Peters BA FIH as head of business development and events, further strengthening its senior team as it builds on its next stage of growth with partnerships across the hospitality sector.

In this newly created role, Peters will lead Umbrella Training’s business development and events activity, working closely with employers, partners and industry organisations.

This will look to strengthen collaboration across the sector and create opportunities for hospitality businesses to come together around shared challenges including recruitment, skills development and workforce sustainability.

Peters said: “I’m excited to be joining Umbrella Training at such a transformative time. The hospitality sector is built on people and relationships, and the work Umbrella Training does to support skills, development and opportunity across the industry is hugely important. I’m really looking forward to continuing to build long-standing partnerships and events that bring the sector together.”

With more than 20 years’ experience across hospitality, professional membership organisations and industry events, Peters brings extensive experience in building sector relationships and delivering high-quality industry programmes.

Adele Oxberry, founder and chief executive of Umbrella Training, added: “Sarah brings an incredible depth of experience across hospitality and industry engagement, alongside a genuine passion for connecting people across the sector.

“As we continue to grow and work with more employers across the UK, her ability to build strong relationships and create meaningful industry events will play an important role in supporting that journey.”
