The road to restaurant excellence reached a ‘thrilling milestone’ at Lainston House in Winchester, where the semi-final of the UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year 2026 unfolded in ‘spectacular fashion’.

The finalists are Suffolk New College, The Sheffield College, Exclusive Collection Academy, Blackburn College, and North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College. Each team impressed the judges with their innovation, precision, and professionalism under pressure.

David McKown, director of the competition, praised the high standard on display: “We are now excited to see how these teams will perform at the national final to be held on 1st July 2026.”
