UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year names stellar guest judge
Two Michelin-starred Portuguese chef, Henrique Sá Pessoa, will be joining the panel of judges as this year’s guest judge. He is most widely recognised for his first solo venture, Alma, which opened in 2009 and was awarded its second Michelin star at the end of 2018.
He also owns Principle Real Tapisco (Portugal) and co-owns Cais da Pedra with the Multifood group.
UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year director, David McKown, commented: "We are delighted that Henrique will be judging the UK Young Restaurant Team of the Year grand final.
“Our theme this year is Portuguese gastronomy and our overall winners will embark on an exciting study tour to Lisbon".
"Only three Portuguese chefs have ever achieved two (Michelin) stars, so Henrique will add significant credibility to this competition.”
