Skills for Chefs Conference to showcase Pastry Skills

Written by: Edward Waddell
Ross Sneddon, a multi-award-winning pastry chef and chocolatier, will share his skills and knowledge at the Skills for Chefs Conference on 29 & 30 June in Sheffield.

Early in his career, Ross made the move across the Atlantic to crack America and he did just that when he landed himself a head pastry chef role at the famous, five star Emerson Inn and Spa Hotel in New York. He stayed in the US for two years before returning to his beloved homeland – Edinburgh.

Back on Scottish soil, Ross worked in the Michelin starred restaurant – Number One. It was here that his exceptional ability was recognised by the industry and he received an Acorn Award for outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry.

Ross went on to work in a number of development roles, before becoming the head pastry chef at the luxury five star hotel Claridge’s, London.

He is currently delighting customers and diners alike as executive pastry chef at the iconic Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh. For further details and to book for the Skills for Chefs Conference visit: www.skillsforchefs.org.uk.
