Rational supports next generation of chefs at HRC

At this year's HRC trade show, students from Capital City College showcased their skills by serving dishes to the public at the Rational stand and assisting with the arena shows.

Two students managed the main arena, while a third supported the iHexagon stage marking the debut of this new product category at a UK exhibition.

Rational ambassadors Rehan Uddin, Simon Rogan and Holly Charnock all delivered a cooking demonstration that offered an intimate look at the ‘precision and power’ of Rational’s advanced cooking systems.

Adam Knights, UK marketing director at Rational, said: "Supporting the next generation of chefs is important to us at Rational. Huge congratulations to the entire team on their well-earned medals and for winning the Highest Achieving College award.”  

Rational sponsored 138 student jackets for the competition team, further supporting their professional development. Capital City College achievements include:

  • The John Retallick Cup for Highest Achieving College
  • 30 Gold Medals including two Best in Class
  • 71 Silver Medals including one Best in Class
  • 43 Bronze Medals
  • 16 Certificates of Merit
  • One Hygiene Award
