Michelin-starred Chinese group launches London restaurant
Marking the group’s fourth site worldwide, which have four Michelin stars between them, founder Alfred Leung hopes Imperial Treasure will bring an “elevated Chinese dining experience” to the capital.
Using seasonal ingredients, sustainably sourced fish and live seafood, dishes include Imperial Treasure’s Peking duck (matured for 40 days and carved at the table); caviar on egg white; soft shell crab with soya crumble; crispy Iberico barbecued pork belly; salt and pepper deep fried eel; and silver cod steamed with chillies.
More ‘adventurous’ dishes feature chicken feet, sea cucumber, dried sea whelk and pig’s shank.
Vegetarians needn’t worry, as there is plenty for everyone such as braised spinach tofu with mushrooms, and stir-fried lily bud with lotus root.
With a wine list curated by ‘expert’ Poh Tiong, customers can expect a global drinks list, including reds from China, English sparkling wine, various Champagne and over 30 Japanese and international whiskies.
Imperial Treasure is now open in London Monday-Sunday for lunch and dinner.
