Michelin star chef becomes head chef at two Reddington Countryside Gastropubs

Written by: Edward Waddell
Michelin star chef Michael Carr brings over 15 years of culinary experience to Nottinghamshire in partnership with entrepreneur and chief executive of the year Sean Reddington.

Previously having headed up some of London and Yorkshire’s top Michelin-starred restaurants such as Sky Garden’s Level 37 and Fenchurch, Michael brings his expertise in fine dining to a whole new countryside venture, focusing on modern British dishes and unique customer experiences.

The head chef will join Sean Reddington in an exec head role as he takes his culinary talents to Nottingham. In addition to joining the team at gastro-fusion restaurant The Old Vol, Sean and Michael opened doors to a brand-new Nottingham village pub, The Reindeer.

Carr said: “My main reason for joining these two fantastic establishments is Sean. I wanted to be part of the big picture and building this operation up together really gets my creative juices flowing, especially with all the current talent we have in the business. It’s such an exciting change to be a part of, and a new challenge for me while I get accustomed to Nottingham soil. I cannot wait to get stuck in.”
