Mark Sargeant to open restaurant and deli with CH&Co this May

Written by: Katie Imms
Chef Mark Sargeant is set to open his brand new restaurant and deli, Sargeant’s Mess, at the Tower of London this May, in partnership with hospitality group CH&Co and Historic Royal Palaces (HRP).

Offering an all-day menu of “modern British seasonal dishes” - created by Sargeant and his head chef, Simon Oakley - there will be a rotating selection of daily specials as well as staple dishes such as: smoked haddock kedgeree cake with poached egg; fish and chips; and a roast onion and gruyere tart.

Alongside the 85-cover restaurant, which will operate an outside terrace in the summer, is an adjoining café-deli specialising in takeaway options ideal for “quick lunches and coffee breaks.” Customers can expect fresh soups, salads and sandwiches - all served in biodegradable packaging.

The announcement comes in a bid to help “(CH&Co and HRP) realise ambitious growth plans and respond to consumer demand,” and to help the caterer “provide fresh, innovative food, beverage and service experiences” for Tower of London visitors.
